New York artist Ellen Grossman shares her creative process and life journey in this talk! Grossman's latest video art, One Thing Led To Another, began from a seemingly trivial and simple life event. In her apartment in East Village in New York, Grossman was contemplating on her landlord’s decision to replace the whole building’s gas cooking stoves to electric stoves. As an ecology enthusiast, the artist began to meditate on the environmental damage of gas extraction from shale and the air pollution caused by burning gas. These thoughts formulated the first few frames of the final version of One Thing Led To Another, where the artist started drawing the blue and orange flames at the beginning. Contemplating on the flame, the visual development slowly expands to the early gas of the universe.
One Thing Led to Another is available as limited edition archival prints on Minjic now. Chance to own a piece of a living artist's work! Find out more on the official website of Minjic, www.minjic.com
